Your Interviewing Experience
It’s important to us that the experience of every candidate from application through job offer, reflect our Shared Vales.
The Crane Currency Interview Process
We know the application and interviewing process can bring with it a variety of emotions and we strive to keep your experience at the center of all our recruiting processes. Below you will find the standard flow that our interview process follows. While there may be some slight variations based on the role, we recognize the importance of speed, transparency and empathy.
-
Once you have found a role that you want to apply for, go for it! You can apply via desktop or mobile through our online portal. Here you will tell us a bit more about your work history and answer a few questions that our recruiters find important to know while screening your resume.
Timing: Our recruiters typically spend about two weeks reviewing applications before selecting qualified applicants and scheduling phone screens.
-
If your experience and ambition align with the job requirements, one of our recruiters will reach out to you to schedule an initial phone screen. This gives us both a chance to share and learn more to help determine if the role is still a good fit.
Timing: We try to hold the initial phone screen within 5 days of reaching out to schedule the time. Whether you are moving forward in our process or not, we strive to update you within 10 days of your phone screen.
-
This is where you’ll be able to dive into deeper conversation around how your past experiences and qualifications align with the needs of this role. The Hiring Manager will ask behavioral questions and technical questions to help get a full picture of your abilities to compare to the role. This interview can be held via phone/video or on site, depending on what makes sense for the candidate and the position.
Timing: This process can take anywhere from two to three weeks. Included in this timing may also be additional interviews with other key members of the team or to take a tour of our site. Depending on the role, a final interview may be required, but your recruiter will let you know this during your initial conversations, so you know what to expect.
-
The final interview (via video or in person) could take one of two forms.
1.) A Panel Discussion: This is where you would be interviewed by multiple interviewers at the same time. The panel typically includes representatives from different departments or levels within the organization, such as human resources and sometimes a peer or team member.
2.) A Chronological In-Depth Structured Interview (CIDS): This interview style gives a panel of Crane Currency leaders the chance to get to know you through a guided interview process. We will walk through your education and each of your prior roles giving you the chance to bring to life more than what can fit on a resume. Prior to this interview, you’ll be sent a Trait Report Assessment to take which the team will review and potentially include questions on during the CIDS interview
Timing: This process can take anywhere from two to three weeks to schedule and take place depending on your availability and the availability of the interview panel. If you are asked to complete the Trait Assessment, it will take about an hour to complete.
-
If you have been selected for the position, you’ll receive a verbal offer from the recruiter before receiving a written offer (or employment contract if international) to sign and return.
Timing: You should receive feedback from your final interview within five to ten days.

Preparing for Your Interviews
There are hundreds of great resources online that can help you prepare for an interview. We have listed a few tips that stand out to us that we think will make your interviewing experience as fruitful as possible.
- Take the time to research Crane Currency and the Currency/Brand Authentication industry. Few candidates have background in this unique industry so it would be beneficial for you to gain a larger perspective of our industry and what Crane Currency does.
Think through real examples of your current and past work experience that showcase the different skills and responsibilities that you feel are needed to be successful in the role you applied for.- Come prepared with examples of how you have leveraged your strengths in your current or previous employment. We recognize that your resume can’t capture everything, so if you know what your strengths are and can highlight them with real life examples, that’s exciting for us to hear.
- Prepare your own list of questions that you would like to have answered by our recruiter or the hiring manager to help you understand if the role and our culture are what you are looking for in your next role.
Have a clear idea of the messages and points you want to share during the interview. Don’t feel like you need to have your resume and interview responses memorized, but we do recommend spending some time practicing and even writing down the key messages you want to deliver.
